alright i think ill just continue the story. my cousin texts me about him (the guy shes matching with) and her flirting with eachother, however his friend was so jealous about it, she even sent me a screenshot about the his friend and her conversation together. the guy's friend asked her, "tell me, do you really like eachother?" and she responded with 'yes'. his friend texted back, "are you sure? don't you like someone else?" and she responded, "nope. just him." the guy didn't message back. she said, "hello?? are you still here?", followed with "do you have a crush on me?" and then, she was instantly blocked. she sent me alot of screenshots, followed with a message, "this guy has a crush of me WHA-". keep in mind, she's still 11. a minor. then, she introduced me to someone, who was also a stranger, in which i forgot the name of. i checked his profile status, and it said "it's complicated with @(the guy who my cousin is currently matching with.)", although my cousin was too stubborn to even see that. his posts were just him changing profile pictures, which seemed pretty normal to me. i checked the comments of each post, and i figured out a girl, named athena, basically commented on half his posts. technically positive comments like "cute!", "nice!", and "wow!", however his replies were weird. he'd reply with things like "thank you, my sweet cupcake.", which turned into something straight up inappropriate. athena was just a minor, probably around 14 or 15, but who knows? im probably just guessing ages. i also checked her profile, which was locked. i couldn't see her posts, friends, but i could still see her nickname, and her bio. although, it seemed like she was obsessed with a specific character, i just don't know where it's from (it had pink hair, a red hairclip, and short twin tails (?)). anyways, many weeks passed, and my cousin came to reach out to me, and said, "hey, me and (the guy who she introduced to me) just had an argument and he told me to hang myself, and he said I wasn't worth anything. he even blocked me." i replied with, "are you okay?", and she responded with "no, I don't think i am..". so, like a good cousin, i had to take care of this. i still had the guy in my friend list, so i decided to confront him. i took a screenshot of me and my cousin's conversation, and sent it to him. i told him, "i know you did this.", and he responded with, "did what?". i messaged, "i know you told her to hang herself. cut the act.". he replied with, "she was annoying anyways. she kept interrupting my moments with athena." i said, "moments with athena? she's a minor, you disgusting pervert.", and then he had the guts to also tell me to die. i told him that what he's doing isn't normal, and that he should be aware that he's dating a MINOR behind his OTHER BOYFRIEND'S (other boyfriend? geez) back, which is extremely disgusting and terrifying. then, he sent a whole paragraph about him 'not knowing that athena is a minor', and that 'she doesn't care anyways'. he blocked me after that. this is probably the longest message that ive sent, and the story probably doesn't even make sense so you might as well just..... ignore this? I don't know lol. i might explain the other parts but whatever have a nice day, and stay safe!

hi katee i just came back from facebook and i found out my cousin is matching with a stranger on messenger, and the worst part is that she's only 11 i checked that guy's profile and he had some posts talking about him wanting to unalive himself (e.g. a post talking about how his life is so fucked up and he wants to khs,) which is pretty concerning. some of his posts were about his friends being terrible or whatever, and some posts were about his problems with life. i kept telling her that she shouldn't talk to strangers online, let alone problematic ones, but she's stubborn as hell and won't budge at all. im kinda scared about it because matching with a problematic stranger online is the risk of online grooming and sexual exploitation, as well as other potential harms including cyberbullying, emotional manipulation, and exposure to inappropriate content ill try to keep convincing her, wish me luck i guess?
